About the Artist

Margaret came to painting as a way of keeping busy after taking early retirement due to a diagnosis of heart failure.   She had no idea where this art class would take her, but she is thankful every day for this fascinating obsession.   In 2008, after a three year wait, a new heart became available and the new chapter in her life started.    

Birds and Animals are her favorite subjects.   Always growing and changing, discovering new ways to portray the beauty that is found in nature and translating it to canvas are the goals that she works toward every day.   Her hope is that the viewer will experience the same feeling of calm that she feels when selecting an image to present.

She has exhibited works in juried shows as well as local galleries and has her work available directly from her home studio.
